For the Georgia Rally only! ,
We’ve made three additions this
year!
1) Innovation class – Want to experiment with a
bio-fueled vehicle, a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, or some
other innovative alternative transportation solution? The new
Innovation Class allows teams to build and compete in vehicles
that break the mold.
Innovation class vehicles compete in all the same
driving events and teams must also compete in the academic events
to qualify for overall trophies. Contact Teddie Lohmeier for details.
2) Junior Solar Sprint Competition, sponsored by
One World Sustainable Energy Corporation, lets middle school students
pit their solar-powered electric creations against each other
in exciting head-to-head racing.
3) EV Car show – sponsored by the EV Club of the
South. See factory and custom-built EVs and talk with their owner
/ drivers.
The rally will be one action-packed day – less time
away from school and save on overnight accommodations. The schedule
is compressed – we’re holding all the same events – just moving
things faster. To keep costs down for teams, pack along a lunch.
We will provide water on site but no food or other beverages.
Registration is only $50 per team and just $5 per participant.
Participants will receive commemorative hats and team photos –
sure to become collectors’ items.
Registration and Tech Inspection begin Saturday
morning, March 15. All academic and
driving events will be held on site, back-to-back.
